    Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Prof Ifor Samuel and Prof Graham Turnbull on research to develop a new class of photonic material. The work is supported by an EPSRC funded project entitled Novel Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity for use as Photonic Materials. The project will use the excellent facilities of the Organic Semiconductor Centre, involves collaboration with the chemistry groups of Profs Neil McKeown (Edinbugh) and Graeme Cooke (Glasgow). The primary duties will be to make photophysical measurements of novel materials and to assess their application for visible lasers, chemical sensors and solar cells.

    The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Physics or a related discipline with expertise in organic semiconductor photophysics and/or device fabrication."
